Simple Steps In Making Blueberry
- Step one:
Washing of blueberries; rinse your blueberries in a clean water and remove any leaves or stems if there are any. If you’re using frozen blueberries, defrost them before using. Then squeeze your lemon and get other ingredients ready to be used

Get a sauce pan; in your cooking pot or sauce pan, put in 2 cups of blueberries , ¼ cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and stir together until it’s properly mixed. After stirring put your pot on a medium heat and let the mixture simmer for some time. Don’t forget to stir occasionally to ensure even cooking and prevent sticking of the mixture to the pan
- Step three:
As the blueberries are heating up you’ll notice that the beginning to break down and release juices. You can also mash some of the residuals by the side of the pot, this helps thicken your compote
- Step four:
While still cooking your blueberries continue stirring and let it simmer for about 10- 15 minutes or until it reaches your preferred consistency level. If you’re going for a more substantial compote {with larger pieces} then you should Cook for a short period that’s like 5-10 minutes but if you’re going for a smooth compote then you should Cook for a long period for about 10-20 minutes top.

If you are using vanilla extract or any other flavourings of your choice then you should add them during the last few minutes if cooking that’s like when it’s remaining about 5 minutes to bring your pot down.

After a while if cooking you’ll notice that the blueberries will soften and the mixture will thicken, once this happens bring your pot down and let it cool for awhile.
