- Proteins (boiled egg, fish, meat, etc.)
- Leaves (banana leaves or aluminum foil)
How To Make Using Moi Moi Leaf:
- Start by blending the beans, chili red peppers, onion, garlic, and water in a blender. Make sure to blend until smooth, and if you making for a large quantity make sure to blend in batches.
- After blending, add the other seasonings, salt, paprika, seasoning cubes, and vegetable oil. Blend until completely pureed
- Place the moimoi leaf stock at the bottom of a pot and top it with a moimoi leaf, followed by one cup of water. This helps create a base and steam for the moimoi wraps.
- Place two moimoi leaves and place them over each other.
- Wrap gently from one end of the bottom to the next. After wrapping bend the bottom upwards, this prevents the batter from spilling out. The aim is to form a corn with the leaves with a hole.
- Scoop out some of the batter and pour right into the leaves. Be careful not to overfill the leaves to avoid future damage during the cooking process.
- Add any proteins of your choice.
- Then, seal the top by simply grabbing the center and the two sides, then flip it backward.
- Place the wrapped moimoi in the pot and continue with the rest of the batter.
- Cover the pot and leave to cook for 25 to 30 minutes on medium heat or until the moimoi is set.
How To Make Moi Moi Using Ramekin Dishes:
- Place a pot on medium heat and place the ramekin dishes in the pot.
- Add about one cup of water, this helps in generating steam.
- Add the moimoi batter to each of the ramekin dishes, and top with your favorite protein.
- Seal each ramekin dish tightly with foil paper, then cover the pot and cook for 25 to 30 minutes or until your moimoi is set.

How To Make Using Nylon
- Place a pot and add water over medium heat.
- Use a double nylon bag just to make sure they don’t burst open during the cooking process.
- Add the batter to the nylon with your favorite protein and tie tightly.
