Crème Brulée is actually one of my favorite and the focus and heart of party or event. It is a creamy like custard dessert, that can applied with different flavors.
It is consist of custard base at the bottom and caramelized sugar at the top. It is mostly said that crème brulée is the perfect dessert for a romantic date or dinner party.
Ingredients:
- 2 cup of heavy cream
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 whole milk
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
- over medium heat in a sauce pan add the cream, milk, vanilla extract and salt up to a simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar together until it becomes light.
- Pour the sugar-egg mixture into cream mixture and stir properly. Place the ramekins in a baking dish and pour the mixture into six 6-ounce ramekins.
- fill the baking dish with boiling water and bake for 30-45 minutes and refrigerate for about two hours.
- When its time to serve, add sugar at the top of each custard and use a torch to carefully soften and caramelize sugar.
2. Macarons
Macarons are another type of French dessert that you mostly see in fancy café, bakeries, and restaurant. this cookie is very mostly popular in the parts of Paris and also around the globe.
Macarons are often crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside with a nice and sweet filling. they often come in different sizes, fillings, colors and flavors.

For Macaron;
- 3 egg whites
- 1 cup powdered sugar

- 3-6 drops of food gel coloring
For Making The Buttercream;
- 1 cup unsalted butter at room temeperature

- grease the baking sheets and line with parchment. then preheat to 300 degrees.
- for the macarons: in a large bowl combine the powdered sugar and almond flour. make sure to sieve the almond flour.
- beat the egg whites in a mixer, then carefully add cream of tartar, and a pinch of salt until light, foamy and bubbly. gradually add the granulated sugar and beat on high speed for about 2 to 3 minutes until egg whites are thick.
- add in the food coloring and vanilla extract, then mix for about a minute more.
- carefully combine the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients with a spatula. your mixture should appear like flowing lava, and be able to take the shape of figure eight when falling with a spatula without breaking.
- Transfer your batter into a piping bag fixed with a round tip.
- Pipe 1-inch circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing each circle an inch apart. hit the baking sheet on a hard surface several times to eliminate air bubbles. Allow to sit for about 30 minutes before baking.
- bake the macarons for about 20 minutes, and when its ready, transfer to rack to cool
- For The Buttercream: in a mixing bowl, add your butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract and mix until the sugar incorporates with butter and becomes fluffy and smooth.
- Transfer the buttercream to a piping bag fixed with a round tip and pipe the filling on flat sides of half of macrons, then top with remaining half of the cookie.
- keep at room temperature in a plastic bag or refrigerate until when you want to serve.

3. Profiteroles
Profiteroles is a French choux pastry balls that is very rich and delicious. it is usually filled with ice cream, whipped cream or custard and finished off with a drizzle of chocolate glaze, caramel, or sugar coated.
Ingredients:
For The Pastry
- 3-5 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
- 1 cup of water
- a pinch of salt
- 1 stick of unsalted butter
- Ice cream, for serving
The Chocolate Sauce
- 1 cup of semi sweet or dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons of butter or coconut oil
Directions:
- preheat the oven to 425°. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, add your water, butter and salt and bring to a boil.
- When the butter has properly melted and start to bubble, reduce the heat and add the flour and mix with a spatula or wooden spoon for about two minutes until ready.
- Transfer the batter to a mixing bowl and let cool for about 2 minutes and mix until pastry is ready and does not gives us steam.
- in a small bowl, crack your eggs and gradually add it little by little to the batter mixture until it is fully integrated.
- Transfer the dough into a piping bag fixed with a round tip in it. Pipe onto the baking sheets into 1 inch ball and 1 1/2 each apart. dip your finger in water and level the top of the ball.
- transfer them into the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown. when its ready, take it out of the oven and transfer
4. Beignets
Beignets are frankly one of the most beloved French pastry and dessert, most especially the New-Orleans type of Beignets.
This gorgeously square fried pastry is absolutely tasty, soft, fluffy and tender and usually sprinkled with powdered sugar. they are best served warm and most enjoyed with a cup of coffee.
Ɪingredient:
- 6 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pack of active dry yeast
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- vegetable oil for fying
- powdered sugar for dusting
directions:
- In a medium size bowl, add the yeast and sugar to the warm water and allow it to dissolve properly. then set it aside for about 5-10 minutes until it foams
- In a mixing bowl, add the eggs, vanilla, evaporated milk, and sugar to the yeast mixture and then whisk to combine. Add half the flour one step at a time and mix, then add your butter and mix until smooth. then finally add the remaining flour and mix until is properly incorporated.
- Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
- In a medium pot, heat the oil in about to 360 degrees.
- In a flat surface, roll the dough out on floured surface to 1/8-inch thick and cut into 2 1/2-inch squares.
- Fry the dough in batches until its golden brown for about 2-3 minutes. when it is ready transfer to a paper towel to drain.
- sprinkle the powdered sugar on the beignets and serve immediately.
5. French Toast
If you are thinking of something easy and quick to make for your family for breakfast, French toast are a good option just like pancakes and waffles.
It is very tasty, rich, crispy on the outside, soft and milk on the inside. French toast is one of such meal that its ingredient is readily available in the kitchen.
Ingredients:
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extra
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

- maple syrup for serving
Directions:
- In a medium size bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, and salt together.

Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoon of butter
- 4 tablespoon of sugar
- 6 oz. semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- a pinch of salt
- 4 large eggs

- Preheat your oven to 375°.
- with little butter, Grease four 6-ounce ramekins properly and Sprinkle some little sugar in each of the ramekins to coat well and discard any excess.
- placing a large bowl with water over medium heat. Add the chocolate and a little butter to the bowl and mix until its melted.

- 3 cups of whole milk
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- a pinch of salt
- 11/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 3 egg yolks
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 360°.
- In a separate bowl, add your milk, vanilla, and salt and mix together.
- over medium heat, add a cup of sugar with half cup water in a pot and cook . careful swirl the pot for about 15 minutes until the mixture turns golden.
- divide the caramel into six 6-ounce ramekins and gently coat the ramekins on the inside with caramel and Place ramekins in a baking dish.
- in a separate large bowl, add your eggs, egg yolks, and remaining sugar together and give a whisk. fold in the cream mixture until it is combined. split the mixture into the ramekins.
- transfer your ramekins into the oven and Bake for about 30-45 minutes until it is ready. when its ready, Transfer to a rack and let cool or refrigerate if you are not ready to serve immediately.
8. Croissant
Croissant is another popular french dessert mostly seen in fancy restaurant and café. they are crispy and crunchy on the outside but sweet and tender on the inside.
making homemade Croissant can seem and look challenging and it also takes a lot of time, but with the right guidance it can be less daunting.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of warm water
- 1 1/2 teaspoon dry yeast
- 2 tablespoon on white sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 4 tablespoon of unsalted butter
- 4 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon of water
Directions
- in a bowl, add your warm water, yeast, and a teaspoon of sugar and allow it settle until yeast for about 10 minutes until yeast begins to foam.
- in a separate bowl, set aside your flour.
- Combine your milk, sugar, and salt in a large bowl and mix, then add the milk mixture with the yeast mixture into your flour.
- Mix thoroughly and knead until you get a smooth texture. Cover it with a napkin or a plastic bag for about 2-3 hours, and let rise until it doubles or triples in volume.
- empty the air out of the dough and let rise again until it increases in quantity, for another 3 hours and then refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes.
- Mash some butter until flexible. roll the dough into a 14×8-inch rectangle shape. coat the butter over top two-thirds, leaving a 1/4-inch margin all around. wrap the unbuttered third over middle third, and buttered top third down over that.
- Roll out a 14×6-inch rectangle and Fold in three again. put the dough in a resealable plastic bag and allow to chill or Refrigerate for about 1 hour 30 mins.
- Preheat the oven to 435 degrees .
- To get that perfect croissant shape, roll out the dough to a 20×5-inch rectangle. Cut in half diagonally, and chill half while shaping the other half. Roll out to a 15×5-inch rectangle. Cut into three 5×5-inch squares.
- Roll each of the triangle gently to stretch out the point end, and make it 7 inches long. Grab the other 2 points, and stretch it by rolling it up. place them on a baking sheet and let it rise
- add the egg and a tablespoon water In a small bowl, beat together egg and 1 tablespoon water making an egg wash and coat the croissants with it, then Bake in your oven for about 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
