- A cup of water

Step one:
Washing your ingredients; wash you cucumbers well enough to remove all dirt. Trim the end of the cucumbers off because they’re are residual firsts there.
After washing the cucumbers, slice them into thin circles. Note that if you want your pickled cucumbers to be chunky then you should slice them into thicker rounds or cut them in spears but if you prefer a more delicate texture then you should slice them thin.
Step two:
Making your brine solution; get your brine solution ingredients ready then get a sauce pan. Combine the white vinegar, salt and sugar with a cup of water and other ingredients and flavorings like dill if you like.
Heat up the pan and stir the solution continuously until the sugar and salt dissolves completely. This creates the brine solution.
Note that adding dill to your brine solution adds a burst if flavor because dill has a fresh and unique flavor which goes well to complement the tanginess and crunchiness of the cucumbers enhancing the overall taste of your pickled cucumbers. So it’s highly recommended
Step three:
Put the perfectly cut out cucumber slices in the clean jar or container. Make sure the fit comfortably.
Step four:
Adding the brine solution; add the heated brine solution into the jar with the cucumber slices . Ensure that it is well submerged so that the brine solution will help infuse or blend in the flavors into the cucumbers.
Step five:
Letting it cool; after adding the brine solution to the cucumbers in the jar, let it cool in a room temperature for a while. Then cover with a lid after it has cool off a bit.
Step six: Refrigerating; once your pickled cucumbers has cooled off, refrigerate it for at least 24 hours giving it more time to let the flavors blend into the cucumbers.
Note that the longer you leave the cucumbers refrigerated the sweeter it’ll be though it is advisable to enjoy them within 2 weeks.
